As the 1 Eagles band song goes,
Frail grasp on the big picture
Light fading and the fog is getting thicker
It’s a frail grasp on the big picture
Dark Ages …
Frail grasp on the big picture
All waiting for that miracle elixir
It’s a frail grasp on the big picture
I don’t wonder anymore
Life is not an idea, a belief, a stack of principles, a goal or dogmatic derivative thrown into the void of space without corresponding result. It doesn’t work that way. There are no inconsequential actions or thoughts. Each carries with it some determinant corollary. Therefore, having a “firm” grasp on the big picture is all important before initiating a cause of some kind, because effect is not far behind. Once the cat is out of the bag, there is no amount of revisionism that will put kitty back.
We have Trump, not by accident but by frail grasp on the big picture. Each of us must determine the nature of our grasp. If you didn’t see this coming or you did, we are here now. Incriminations and recriminations bandied around in self-defensive posturing—insulting and denigrating—proves nothing, solves nothing.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Now Rise!
Carl
