The Branding of Revolution

Sunday, August 13, 2017 9:15 AM

Brands draw fans but do they deliver the truth?

1) a fundamental change in political organization; especially: the overthrow or renunciation of one government or ruler and the substitution of another by the governed.

[Obviously, retooling our existing democracy to work as intended is what most of us want, not the chaos and bloodshed that history portends when going at change in the manner above.]

2) an activity or movement designed to effect fundamental changes in the socioeconomic situation.

[What most enlightened citizenry here desire.]

This revolution imagined requires a change in the consciousness of the country, an overall transformation of how we see each other and wish to treat each other accordingly. You can't legislate morality or legislate enlightened consciousness. Still, you can make government work better to support equality, to promote egalitarianism, but at the end of the day, WE must change fundamentally.

Getting money out of politics, changing the rules of business as usual is ongoing and subject to the swinging back and forth of the tides of the ever shifting human and political landscape.

(R)evolution minus the R is the promise of real change. It is the Evolution of human consciousness that infuses our struggle for enlightened coexistence.

Watch the brands and branders, causes and causers. Remember the Seal of Truth: Looking is not always seeing and hearing is not always listening. Illusionists hide behind both. Digging deeper for intent (to entrap or liberate) is where truth is revealed.
