Trump Stain

Today, I flew the colors (American flag and the Marine Corps flag) at my home, to celebrate the founding of the United States of America. It was not to honor nor condone the attempted thievery of our annual memorializing of this momentous event. The attempted thief, by the name of Donald J. Trump, tried to steal for his own shabby self-aggrandizement, the aspirational personage, words and deeds that sealed a timeless pledge of a nation where all shared equal rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  

Trump is a stain on that pledge, a stain on that great republic, a stain on every person that has sacrificed for its full realization; that has strived for the fulfillment of its promise – in the self-recognition that when any one is uplifted, so are we all.

In the absurdity of Trump, in the ridiculousness of a “Trump nation” posing as the nation sought by the signers of the Declaration of Independence; juxtaposed with the co-opting of our military for the sniveling fickleness of this corrupt, regressive man, witlessly seeking recognition for capabilities he explicitly lacks, I raised the colors today for truth… In the face of his mad deception.
