My Comment:

U.S. Forest Service,

The very title "Public Lands" implies a mandate for all Americans to have participation in any change proposals or development on public lands, or the ceding of these lands to corporate and/or private entities. This "public" participation is fundamental to our oversight on the USFS to ensure it is maintaining the public trust in providing proper stewardship over these lands, or is making decisions in favor of special interest groups or individuals.

Adhering to these rules requires among other steps, to conduct environmental impact studies (EISs), allow for public review and must take into account not only scientific study of the possible impacts and threats but our approval or denial for proposed activities within public lands. These projects include logging, pipelines, and road building through 193 million acres of the last remaining wild places that belong to WE the PEOPLE!
