In June 1969, LIFE magazine published a feature, "The Faces of the American Dead in Vietnam: One Weeks Toll." Inside were 242 pictures with names of those who died in seven days of warfare, between May 28 through June 3, 1969.The 3rd Platoon of Alpha 1/7 lost four: Matthew J. Baurle, Iran C. Brown, Gary W.
